BENGALURU: Isha Ambani, executive director of Reliance Retail Ventures, and Parita Parekh, co-founder of Toddle, have been recognized as the youngest women entrepreneurs in the 2024 Hurun India Under-35 list. Both are 32 years old and represent a new wave of innovative leaders in the Indian business landscape.
The Hurun list features a total of 150 entrepreneurs under 35, all with significant business valuations—$50 million for first-generation entrepreneurs and $100 million for next-gen leaders. Ankush Sachdeva, 31, from Sharechat, is noted as the youngest individual on the list.
The release highlights that 123 of the featured entrepreneurs are first-generation, accounting for 82% of the total. Bengaluru and Mumbai lead with 29 and 26 entrepreneurs, respectively, showcasing the vibrant entrepreneurial spirit in these cities.
Anas Rahman Junaid, Managing Director and Chief Researcher at Hurun India, commented, “Our research highlights the dynamic entrepreneurial energy among India’s Under-35 demographic, especially as the economy expands. These young leaders have rapidly built successful companies while navigating various challenges.”
The list also includes notable names such as Aakash Ambani from Reliance Jio Infocomm, crypto exchange founders like Sumit Gupta from CoinDCX, and Harshil Mathur from Razorpay. Seven women made it onto the list, with four continuing family legacies.
IIT Madras is the leading institution represented, with 13 alumni on the list, followed closely by IIT Bombay with 11, and IIT Delhi and IIT Kharagpur with 10 each. The average age of the entrepreneurs is 33.
As India’s economic outlook remains bright, many Under-30 entrepreneurs are expected to transition into senior roles as their ventures grow, solidifying their impact on the future of business in the country.
